About Ryushi -
I started playing mid-way through the Gold Edition block, and have played Crane and Nezumi (Ratlings) competitively at the New England Kotei Tournaments. Now that the Nezumi are no longer a tournament legal faction, I play Crane full-time.
After moving to Vermont in April of 2008, I got back into L5R just as Words and Deeds was being released. Since then I've started rebuilding the L5R community here and am the L5R Tournament Organizer for Quarterstaff Games in Burlington, VT.

Competitively speaking, we have two decks that seem to do well.
Dueling Switch and Artisan Honor.
The switch deck seems like it can be played out of Kyuden Kyotei or Seven Fold Palace, while the Artisan deck get splay almost exclusively from Shi...

I've been into Quarterstaff a couple of times. I used to fly to and from Burlington when I headed over to stay with my lass, and we've spent some time in Burlington. It certainly looks like the nearest place to Fairlee that supports Five Rings, so...
Hinomura, if you've never been, Quarterstaff in Burlington is a really nice shop. They carry a really good stock of games, and are surrounded by tons of great restaurants.
I know DJ's Comics and Gaming in Wallingford, CT carries current CCG sets, and older RPG supplements.
