Welcome to the islands of Spice and Silk

I started playing L5R about two years ago. It was right around the time of Samurai edition was release. I remember watching my roommate at the time and a friend of ours playing the game and thinking how awesome the game looked. So at Gen Con that year, I made sure to stop by the L5R area and played a demo. I played a demo and fell in love wtih the game. I got myself a Mantis deck, mainly because it was the one that my roommate and friend both recommended, and it was the one that appealed to me the most. I started off as a casual player. Playing friends here and there.

That brings me to where I am today. I'm really looking forward to getting my feet wet in the tournament field. The main reason I haven't played in a tournament is that I haven't felt ready. Now I do though. I want to see what is out there and also meet new people. My main goal is to have fun. So if you are at a tournament and see me there, make sure to stop by and say hi.
